YG Entertainment has issued an apology following complaints that some fans were unable to see the stage at BLACKPINK’s recent concert due to large LED screens blocking their view. The agency also announced that it is reviewing refund options and other follow-up measures.

“We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience experienced by attendees seated in the N3 section at the BLACKPINK concert held on July 5–6 due to obstructed views,” YG stated on July 7. “We are in the process of taking appropriate action for those who reported discomfort regarding this section.” Refunds and other compensatory options are reportedly under consideration.

YG explained that the large LED screen had been installed in an attempt to improve visibility from behind a front-stage console but ended up obstructing views instead. “Though our intent was to enhance the viewing experience, we caused unintended inconvenience. We will be more meticulous in our future venue planning to ensure a better concert experience for all fans,” the company said.

The controversy erupted after several fans posted on social media that the screen completely blocked their view of the stage. The backlash intensified when it was revealed that the affected seats were priced at 132,000 won—substantially higher than the 99,000 won designated “limited view” seats.

Meanwhile, BLACKPINK’s newly unveiled song “JUMP,” performed for the first time during the concert, is set to be officially released on July 11 at 1 p.m.
